Titans Tavern has announced it will close its doors this weekend, bringing an end to the locally owned restaurant and bar after a little more than a year in business. In a social media post shared Monday, the owners said Saturday, Aug. 1, will be the tavern’s final day of operation.
Titans Tavern opened in May 2024 with the goal of creating a gathering place for the Tea community where friends, families and neighbors could enjoy a meal, celebrate special occasions and spend time together.
Owners described the decision to close as a difficult one, saying it was not the outcome they had envisioned when they opened the business.
During its time in operation, the restaurant hosted numerous community events, including birthday and anniversary celebrations, weddings, graduation and retirement parties, charity events, church gatherings, volleyball leagues, karaoke nights and live music performances.
The owners expressed gratitude to customers who supported the business by dining at the restaurant, hosting events and sharing recommendations, noting that many first-time customers became regulars and, eventually, friends.
They also thanked their employees for their dedication and hard work, as well as the Tea community for welcoming and supporting the business throughout its operation.
In the announcement, the owners encouraged community members who had been planning another visit to stop by before closing day to share a meal, enjoy a drink and celebrate the memories made at Titans Tavern.
The restaurant’s final day of business will be Saturday, Aug. 1.
