Tryouts for the Tea Baseball Association’s 2026 competitive teams are coming up: Wednesday, Aug. 6 (3rd-6th grades), and Sunday, Aug. 10 (13u and 14u). To qualify, you must live in Tea, attend the Tea Area School District or live within the school district boundaries.
Walk-up registrations will be accepted but pre-registration is encouraged. To register, visit the Tea Baseball Association Facebook page or website (teaparkandrecreation.com/tba) for the links. The cost for tryouts for all age groups is $20.
The TBA formed in 2024 to expand baseball opportunities for the families of Tea. By developing players within the community, players will continue to improve with a goal of strengthening the individual player as well as the team. Creating opportunities in town is more convenient for Tea families and the TBA intends to work with the City of Tea and other entities to improve and expand indoor and outdoor facilities.
Players who participate in TBA competitive teams have the opportunity to practice in the off-season, with official practices starting in January 2026. Each team will determine the number of tournaments to participate in and all teams will compete in a local league with weeknight games.
For more information about tryouts, email teabaseballassociation@gmail.com. The next TBA Board of Directors Meeting is Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. at Tea City Hall and is open to the public.
