Titan boys improve to 7-1 with wins over Sioux Center, Pierre
On Friday, Jan. 9 the Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team competed against Sioux Center in the Border Battle at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls. Woodring wins title at Mid Dakota Monster
Tyler Woodring captured a championship to lead the Tea Area High School boys wrestling team at the 2026 Mid Dakota Monster, held recently in Presho. Woodring went undefeated on the day to claim first place at 138 pounds. Woodring received a first-round bye before pinning Caden Singrey of Kingsbury County in 2:49. Titan girls get back to back wins out West
This past weekend, the Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team headed out west to face off against Douglas on Friday, Jan. 2, and Sturgis Brown on Saturday, Jan. 3. The Titans earned victories in both match-ups, defeating Douglas 58-27 and Sturgis 49-31. Against Douglas, Emma Lingren led the way with 12 points, seven steals, and two rebounds. Titan boys improve to 5-1 with trio of wins
The Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team headed out west last week, facing off against Douglas on Jan. 2 and Sturgis on Jan. 3. The Titans brought home two victories, defeating Douglas 62-40 and Sturgis, 62-40. “It was terrific to get through the long road trip with two victories. The long layoff, combined with the overnight long trip, could have been a crutch, but I thought our boys really handled themselves well mentally and played with an appropriate level of energy.

Titan girls open up season with back to back wins
The Tea Area High School girls’ basketball season have recorded two wins to open the season, defeating Sioux City North by a score of 56-25 on Dec. 8 and defeating Huron 64-46 on Friday, Dec. 12. Titans fall in tight one to Huron
On Friday, Dec. 12 the Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team opened their season with a home match-up against Huron. Tea Area jumped to an early 21-6 lead and led 32-24 at the half. Titans open up season with success on the mat
Tea Area High School wrestling got underway on Friday, Dec. 5 when the Titans played host to Chamberlain and Mitchell. The Titan boys defeated Chamberlain 55-18 and Mitchell 54-29. Titans aim to turn speed into success this season
The Tea Area High School girls’ basketball program enters the 2025 season with renewed confidence and a roster full of eager competitors ready to take the next step. Babb signs with Augustana University after record-breaking career at Tea Area
Tea Area High School senior Jaycie Babb has officially signed to continue her cross country and track & field career at Augustana University. Babb is pictured above with her family.
