Titan girls head into SoDak 16
The Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team ended their regular season with a 65-39 loss to Sioux Falls Washington on Feb. 24. Tea Area trailed early and were unable to battle back. For the Titans, Natalie Gass scored ten points, had one rebound and one assist. Jayna VanLaecken finished with nine points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Seniors honored at Marshall game
On Thursday, Feb. 19 the Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team took on Marshall and suffered the 70—42 loss. With the loss Tea Area ended a three-game home win streak. Marshall came in with a 21-4 record and is ranked fourth in Minnesota. Titan girls compete in ESD Tournament
On Thursday, Feb. 12 the Tea Area High School girls’ wrestling team competed in the ESD Tournament at Brandon Valley. Tea Area’s Emery Voelker took third place at 125 pounds and Charlie Herrboldt finished fourth at 135 pounds. Titan boys defeat Sioux City East, fall to Brandon Valley
On Friday, Feb. 13 the Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team traveled to Sioux City East High School to take on the Raiders. Tea Area opened up the game with a 15-8 lead but watched as the Raiders fought back in. Titans claim State Championship in League of Legends: Earn fourth place overall as team in Esports State Tournament
The Tea Area Titans delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 SDHSAA/Fenworks Esports State Tournament, held Feb. 13-14 at Aberdeen Central High School in Aberdeen. Competing against top programs from across South Dakota, Tea Area finished fourth in the overall team standings with 17 points. Titan girls defeat Harrisburg
On Tuesday, Feb. 10 the Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team hosted Harrisburg and earned the 43-37 victory. Complete stats were unavailable at press time. The Titan girls will travel to Sioux City East on Friday, Feb. 13. They will be at home on Feb. 19 taking on Marshall, which also marks senior night. They will be at Yankton on Feb. 20 and wrap up the regular season on the road, facing Sioux Falls Washington on Feb. 24.

The Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team suffered a hard-fought loss to Sioux Falls Jefferson on Thursday, Feb. 6, as the Titans were unable to slow the Cavaliers in the second half.
