Tea Area students find success in Region II Instrumental solo and ensemble contest
Region II Instrumental Solo and Ensemble contest took place at Augustana College on Monday, Feb. 2. This contest is not required, the students get to choose if they participate or not. Eighty of the 114 high school band students chose to challenge themselves this year by taking at least one thing to contest. Many of them took three or four entries. Their options were taking a solo (35 students opted to do this), or taking an ensemble. Ensembles can range anywhere from 2-16

Titan girls defeat Harrisburg
On Tuesday, Feb. 10 the Tea Area High School girls’ basketball team hosted Harrisburg and earned the 43-37 victory. Complete stats were unavailable at press time. The Titan girls will travel to Sioux City East on Friday, Feb. 13. They will be at home on Feb. 19 taking on Marshall, which also marks senior night. They will be at Yankton on Feb. 20 and wrap up the regular season on the road, facing Sioux Falls Washington on Feb. 24.

Titans fall to SF Jefferson, win double overtime thriller against Harrisburg
The Tea Area High School boys’ basketball team suffered a hard-fought loss to Sioux Falls Jefferson on Thursday, Feb. 6, as the Titans were unable to slow the Cavaliers in the second half. Tea Area Community Foundation accepting grant applications
The Tea Area Community Foundation (TACF) is accepting grant applications February 2nd - March 27th from Tea area non-profit organizations. Up to $15,000 is available and grants will be awarded in April. This is the 21st year the TACF, an endowment fund of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, is able to provide grants to non-profit organizations with plans for projects that will benefit and enhance the quality of life for residents of the Tea area community. Tea Area One Act competes at State
The Tea Area High School One Act Play cast and crew took the stage at the State One Act Play Festival, held February 5–7 at the Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center, where they performed A Wrinkle in Time . Titans take first at Parker Invite
On Friday, Jan. 30 the Tea Area High School wrestling team hosted Beresford/Alcester-Hudson and Rapid City Central. Seniors were recognized with Tyler Woodring, Jaeden Waltner, Ashton Smit, and Chase DeBoer all being honored.
