Titans fall to Yankton, take on Washington in final regular season game
On Friday, Oct. 17, the Tea Area High School football team traveled to Yankton to take on the 6-2 Bucks. Yankton scored twice in the opening quarter — a 36-yard field goal and a 72-yard touchdown. City of Tea adopts comprehensive plan
The Tea City Council met Oct. 20 and held a public hearing on the comprehensive plan. They heard from Confluence about the city’s comprehensive plan. Titans to compete in State competitive cheer and competitive dance championships this weekend
The Watertown Civic Arena is the site for the nineteenth annual state competition for cheer and dance. Competition for Class A will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, with opening ceremonies beginning at 5:00 p.m.(CT) Class AA competition will begin at 11:00 a.m.(CT) on Saturday, Oct. 25. Titans fall to Lincoln, defeat Madison
Tea Area High School volleyball took on Sioux Falls Lincoln on Thursday, Oct. 9 and fell 0-3. On Monday, Oct. 13 the team took on Madison won 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23). The Titans will host Mitchell this Friday, Oct. 24. Titans perform strong at Conference Meet
The Tea Area High School cross country team traveled to Mitchell on Saturday, Oct. 11, to compete in the ESD Championship Cross Country Meet. The event featured 433 athletes from the ten ESD schools across six races. The Titans turned in several outstanding performances throughout the day. Titans fall to WatertownTravel to Yankton this Friday
Mitch Grant follows his blockers during the Titans’ match-up against Watertown last Friday night. On Friday, Oct. 10 the Tea Area High School football team hosted Watertown and after leading 7-3 early, Tea Area was unable to hang on in the second half as Watertown scored once in the third and once in the fourth to get the 15-7 win over the Titans. Hall of Fame: Lauren (Hill) Diede
As a Tea Area student, Lauren (Hill) Diede was involved in many activities. As a 2013 Tea Area graduate, Diede participated in track, volleyball, basketball, band, choir, FCCLA, HOSA, student council and National Honor Society. School board hears annual levy trend: Sets high school open house for Oct. 27
The Tea Area School Board met Oct. 13 and heard about the annual levy trend. Superintendent Tonia Warzecha presented a levy trend report. The board reviews it every year at this time. She said the district’s levy has gone down. The bond redemption levy has gone down 24 cents since last year. They are strategic in the bond redemption to leave room to build in the future.
